Terms of Service

The rules for using RedAPI. Read the whole thing or skip to what matters to you using the links below.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RedAPI's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, don't use our services.

You must be at least 18 years old to use RedAPI. If you're using RedAPI on behalf of a company or organization, you're binding that entity to these terms as well.

2. The Services

RedAPI provides specialized AI APIs ("the Services") accessible through the RapidAPI marketplace. We offer:

  • 19 specialized AI endpoints for tasks like text processing, content analysis, and data extraction
  • Structured JSON responses from all endpoints
  • Free tiers with usage limits on all APIs
  • Paid plans with higher limits and priority access

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We'll give reasonable notice when possible.

3. Your Account

When you create an account (through RapidAPI or directly), you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Keep your account information up to date
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account, whether or not you authorized it.

4. API Keys & Security

When you subscribe to our APIs through RapidAPI, you receive API keys that authenticate your requests.

Important: Keep your API keys secret. If they leak, rotate them immediately through your RapidAPI dashboard. You're responsible for any requests made with your keys.

You must:

  • Store keys securely (environment variables, secret managers—not hardcoded)
  • Rotate keys if you suspect compromise
  • Use keys only for your own applications
  • Not share keys with third parties

5. Acceptable Use

You may use RedAPI for lawful purposes only. Acceptable uses include:

  • Processing text and documents for your own business operations
  • Building applications that integrate with RedAPI endpoints
  • Analysis of user-generated content you have rights to process
  • Automation of content moderation, data extraction, and similar tasks

When processing content from others (like your users or customers), you must have the appropriate rights and privacy notices in place.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use RedAPI to:

  • Generate spam or malware — Using our APIs to create spam content, phishing pages, or malicious software
  • Discriminate or harass — Building systems that discriminate based on protected characteristics or facilitate harassment
  • Violate privacy laws — Processing personal data without proper legal basis or consent
  • Infringe copyrights — Using outputs to reproduce copyrighted material without authorization
  • Circumvent rate limits — Attempting to bypass usage limits through multiple accounts or technical workarounds
  • Resell our services — Offering our APIs as a standalone product to third parties without authorization
  • Harm our infrastructure — Any activity designed to overwhelm, damage, or gain unauthorized access to our systems

This list isn't exhaustive. If you're unsure whether your use case is allowed, ask us first.

7. Your Content

When you send data through our APIs ("Your Content"), you retain ownership of it. We don't claim any rights to your input data.

What we do with your content:

  • Process it in real-time to generate your requested output
  • Store minimal logs for debugging and service improvement (anonymized after 30 days)
  • Use aggregated, anonymized patterns to improve our models

What we don't do:

  • Share your input content with other users or third parties
  • Use your content to train models that other customers use
  • Sell your data to data brokers or advertisers

You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit your content to our services and that processing it won't violate any third-party rights.

8. Intellectual Property

Our IP: RedAPI retains all rights to our APIs, documentation, models, and any improvements we make. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use our services as provided.

Your outputs: The outputs you receive from our APIs (structured JSON responses, analysis results, etc.) are yours to use in your applications. You don't need to attribute RedAPI in your end product, but you can't claim you built our technology.

Feedback: If you provide suggestions, feature requests, or other feedback about our services, we may use it without obligation to you.

9. Fees & Billing

All billing is handled through RapidAPI's payment infrastructure.

  • Free tiers: Available on all 19 APIs with usage limits (e.g., 100-500 requests/month)
  • Paid plans: Subscribe through RapidAPI for higher limits. Pricing is set by RapidAPI and varies by endpoint.
  • Usage-based: Some endpoints may have usage-based pricing beyond flat subscription rates.

You're responsible for all charges incurred under your account. If you upgrade or change plans, changes take effect immediately.

RapidAPI's terms of service and privacy policy apply to payment processing. We don't store your payment details.

10. Termination

By you: You can stop using our services at any time by canceling your RapidAPI subscriptions. No refund for unused prepaid amounts unless required by law.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

  • Violate these terms (especially the prohibited uses section)
  • Fail to pay fees when due
  • Pose a security risk to our infrastructure or other users
  • Engage in fraudulent activity

We'll try to give you notice before termination when practical, but we may terminate immediately if there's an urgent security issue. Upon termination, your right to use the Services stops immediately.

11. Warranties & Disclaimers

What we warrant:

  • Our services will perform substantially as described
  • We have the right to provide the services to you
  • We won't knowingly introduce malware or malicious code

What we don't warrant:

  • Our APIs will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • Outputs will be suitable for your specific use case
  • Results will be 100% accurate or complete

Disclaimer: The services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Note: AI APIs have inherent limitations. Outputs may contain inaccuracies, especially for specialized domains. Evaluate outputs for accuracy before using them in high-stakes applications.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, RedAPI's total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We won't be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data
  • Business interruption or replacement services costs
  • Damages exceeding the limit above

These limitations apply regardless of whether the claim is based on contract, tort, strict liability, or any other legal theory—even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RedAPI, our affiliates, and our respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of our services in violation of these terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your content or the outputs you generate using our APIs
  • Your applications or products that integrate with RedAPI

14. Dispute Resolution

We want to resolve any concerns you have without needing a formal legal process. Before filing a claim against RedAPI, you agree to contact us first and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days of your initial contact, any formal legal proceedings will be governed by the laws of the provider's home jurisdiction.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do:

  • We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
  • For material changes, we'll notify you via email or a notice on our website
  • Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance

For significant changes that reduce your rights or increase your obligations, we'll give at least 30 days notice before the changes take effect.
